About Us
The Red Wing Seniors Golf Association (RWSGA) is a membership organization dedicated to friendly competition and camaraderie in weekly golf matches.
RWSGA was established in 1984 by a group of senior golfers seeking to organize into a group to share golfing experiences and partake in friendly competition. By the end of 1984, there were 67 charter members. Today we have around 100 active and social members.
Headquartered at the beautiful Red Wing Lake Golf Course in Virginia Beach, Virginia . RWSGA plays it's formal schedule on Thursday mornings from late March until early November, with informal gatherings year round, weather permitting. Outings are also scheduled at different courses to provide variety.
Players of all skill levels, from four handicappers to thirty four handicappers - participate in the flighted matches, as well as the frequent tournaments. In addition to the golfing competition, there are numerous social events involving lunches and lively "19th hole" discussions, capped off by an upscale end of year party that includes spouses.
